This is your weekly reminder that I plan one more meal than we technically need for six days because who actually follows the daily meal plan?! We don’t.
I’m going to be honest, now that I’m on this cooking dinner journey I’ve been spending a lot of time on Pinterest trying to come up wtih some fun ideas to implement, so this week I’m trying a bunch of new recipes that I’ll update this post with links to once I complete the meal!
When planning this week, I knew I already had two frozen “cheat” meals ready to go because we have a few activities in the evening this week where I won’t be able to do a full dinner, so frozen it is! We have no shame in the frozen game in this household, and let’s be honest, nor should you. If you are a working mom or even a stay at home mom, you have a lot on your plate balancing it all so give yourself a break when you need one cooking dinner.
I also don’t have a true listing of what we bought from Walmart this week because I was human and did not give myself enough time this week to pre-plan and set up a Walmart pickup run! I will be honest, it was hectic with both kids in the store and although I attempted to “stick to the list” that did not happen and a few toys later our bill was over $200, so not a good week for budgeting on my part but I’m going to make up for it this week instead! It’s all about making the positives outweigh th enegatives, right?!
